Details for Steve Wasserman

Biography:
Steven Wasserman Sensei currently holds the rank of Sandan (3rd Degree Black Belt) and has been involved in martial arts for over 25 years. He has had extensive training in the martial art of Krav Maga and has trained in Aikido since 1996. Over the years, he has had the privilege to train under the instruction of AWA, AAA, and the late F. Toyoda Sensei/AAA. He established Beach City Aikido in June 2011. One of his major teaching philosophies, "there is no such such thing as advanced technique, only basic technique done well."

Dr. Wasserman earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1984, graduating Cum Laude, Dean's List, and Delta Sigma Honorary Scholastic Society of the Healing Arts. Dr. Wasserman has been in practice in Los Alamitos since 1985 treating acute and chronic conditions and injuries. He is also a Certified Veterinary Chiropractitioner (C.V.C.P.) and continuously attends many post-graduate courses in neuromuscular skeletal conditions. Prior to attending Chiropractic College, he completed his undergraduate in 1979 with honors at Cypress College and graduated with a Registered Nursing degree. After graduating, he worked for two years at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center specializing in emergency and critical care. While attending Chiropractic College and after graduating, he worked part time at Doctor's Hospital of Lakewood, specializing in emergency trauma care from 1981 to 1996.

Dr. Wasserman is a member of the Los Alamitos Police Officers Association, Southern California Veterianary Medial Association, and a certifed Aikido Instructor.
